2007 Launch of Secret's new tween & teen product line: scented body sprays. Worked with Leo Burnett's P&G team to develop characters for their packaging and Ads since AG is famous for it's licensing characters (carebears, strawberry shortcake, & holly hobbie) I got to develop the look and personality for each scent/Sparkle Girl. Then I took the characters and was asked to create a fashion game for MSN messenger. The age demographic of MSN was our target audience. She ended up with an avatar that she dressed, accessorized and placed her in the scene she chose. The mood of the avatar could change everyday and it would change parts of the scene to represent how she was feeling.
This was a very pivotal project for me. I learned how to develop a character backstory, weaving in interests, fashion research and personalization of that character to match the consumer. I was able to work with a team of developers for the creation of the UI for making the MSN avatar which was really fun to learn the backend of creating codes to match assets . Collaboration with Leo Burnett (P&G) Chicago was definitely fun and paved the path to me later joining that agency on the McDonald's account.
